GrantSpeak – A Workshop in 2 Parts

GrantSpeak – A Workshop in 2 Parts

Presenter Kathy Kucsan of Integrity Arts will offer a frank discussion about the funding potential of your organization (or project). She will also give you the tools and tricks to present a strong grant application in the fastest, most practical way. Material from Part 1 will inform Part 2, so you are encouraged to attend both sessions (but you are welcome to attend just one). Registration/networking 11-11:30am; Workshops 11:30 – 1pm

Part 1 (November 9) will be in a seminar format with discussion

on how to:

  • search for grants in a competitive funding landscape
  • craft your “ask”
  • streamline and improve your grants process
  • answer any other questions you have

Part 2 (November 16) will be a “Grants Clinic.” Using a real-life model for grant review, we will evaluate three different grant applications with a mock grant panel. (This workshop includes pre-meeting homework of reading the mock grant applications before we meet. These will be emailed to you after you register.)

Both workshops will meet in the Conference Room at the Community Foundation Serving Boulder County, 1123 Spruce St, Boulder.

Playing with Metal (embossing) 10/29 & 10/31

Playing with EmbossingSaturday October 29th, 9:45 – 12:30 or
Monday October 31st, 9:45 – 12:30

In this Play-Shop, we’ll use simple materials and emboss metal.  If you want to make a frame for a picture of someone, (just in time for All Saints’ Day and Dia de los Muertos!) bring a photocopy of your photograph (5×7 or smaller) so we can make a custom shape.  This technique is very easy, and yields beautiful results.  Cost is $25, including materials, and no art experience is necessary!

Space is limited, so to reserve a spot and get directions, contact
Janet at 303-776-2052, or janartist@gmail.com
