Non-objective Works of Ron Gallegos
322 Main Street 6-9:00 PM
Friday, November 11th
Hope to see you there!
Ron Gallegos is a non-objective [non representational] -abstract artist. My abstract paintings are gestural and convey a sense of movement and spontaneity. I believe at the end of the day abstract art is about the passion and physical nature of creating the art.
Wira Babiak has been juried into the “2016 Outdoor Creations – A Boulder County Juried Art Show”. The show will be at the Great Frame Up where we have our monthly meetings from Friday, Oct. 14 – Friday, November 4. Reception and awards on Oct. 14, 6:00 p.m.
Diana Wade, LAG member from Loveland, will be showing her abstract mixed media work along
with eight other well known Northern Colorado artists at the Community Creative Center
(“Carnegie Building” ) 200 Matthews St. in Ft Collins October 5-8. The opening reception for
“Driven to Abstraction” takes place on Friday October 7 from 6 to 9pm.
Wira Babiak will be having an art show at the Arts Coalition of Erie, 625 Pierce St., Erie, Colorado. Reception, Oct. 1, 6:00 p.m.
Margaret Bobb is the featured artist for the month of September at the Stone Cup Cafe in Lyons, CO. She is currently showing 19 paintings throughout the dining room through October 2nd. The cafe is located in Lyons on 442 High Street.
Janet Strickler, local mixed-media artist and LAG member, was recently commissioned by the Asian Art department of the Denver Art Museum to create a mandala coloring page inspired by the Museum’s own Tibetan Hayagriva Sand Mandala.
The coloring page will become part of an interactive station where museum visitors will be able to color one, or take one home. If you visit the DAM this autumn, make sure and stop in and check it out!
