Liquid Watercolors by
Janet Nunn
Janet Nunn uses bright color and blending to create feeling in her paintings.
Capturing the Colorado landscape is one of her favorite compositions. Janet uses a paint made in Colorado, Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hydrus Liquid Watercolors. This paint keeps its brightness and consistency in the paintings. As an instructor, Janet enjoys teaching in a positive way. Guiding students to uncover their own style of painting while they learn many watercolor techniques.
“Inspirations” Art Show
(formerly “Mini” Art Show)
Don’t forget to bring a recent piece of art work for our Inspirations Art Show. We will be voting for the best art work on display that evening. The winning artist will go home with a gift certificate.
As always a snack to share is greatly appreciated.

November President’s Message

As Thanksgiving approaches, we reflect on what we are thankful for.  Family and friends are usually on top, followed closely by health and prosperity.
My list also includes our LAG Board members who are so dedicated in keeping our guild running smoothly. It is hard to calculate all the volunteer hours the Board puts in however these hours have led to numerous accomplishments. LAG has a bigger and better newsletter, outstanding website and strong social media all thanks to the many, many hours Jill Rumley has devoted to our guild.  Thanks to our hard-working Board, LAG has more opportunities than ever to exhibit such as the Boulder County Fair show, the Strawberry Days, and the Longmont ArtWalk. Along with our monthly meeting guest artists the Board has added the mini shows (now called “Inspirations”), fun hands-on activities, and art swaps.
These are just a few of the things LAG has benefited from over the last couple of years thanks to our Board’s innovative ideas, time, and energy. As I reflect on what I am thankful for this Thanksgiving, I am definitely adding our wonderful LAG Board!

P.S. (from the LAG Board…) And we are so thankful for all of the behind-the-scenes hard work our President Susan puts in!

LAG President

A  VOICE FROM THE PAST – NO, SHE IS NOT DEAD YET!

At 86 years of age, Gerri Bradford is still out there painting in her studio and occasionally doing plein air.  With the exception of FirehouseArt.org, she has relinquished her gallery  galloping, organizations, website, etc. and sticks pretty close to home with son, Fred.  Her living room/dining room are now her new studio/gallery and she can be found painting in her pajamas on any given day….just painting, painting and loving life.  If you wish to chew the fat, give her a call at 303 776-0271 or email at gl.bradford@yahoo.com.  Sincerely……
